Friday, June 19th, 2009Today is a Swedish holiday. I will be spending it with loved ones.
Here is a guest strip by the very talented Sofia Falkenhem, a cartoonist and friend. I’ve been wanting for ages to have an excuse to put this lovely work up and now I do.
I will see you all again on Monday.

You know, I’ve never really seen Anders as having dark hair before, even though if I look back I realise it is actually a quite dark shade. It seems pretty funny how my own skewed perceptions were what caused me about five minutes of confusion as I stared between Rene’s pictures of Anders and this one.

the girl in the blue striped shirt in the first panel looks like me. i have that haircut, that hair color, that shirt, and that jacket.

Wow…that painting in the first panel…really disturbing in a way

A bowser baby must be hard on the womb. Childbirth? Fatal. Godspeed peach.

Anders reminds me of someone I took an art class with.
That spoiled, egoistic, self-important, bubble-headed, pretentious jackass.

Hello, Rene.
I am a rather strong fan of your comic, and this person’s work is also lovely. o.o
I just felt mean for lurking via only reading the comic, and not commenting. I will try to do so more.
The plot-line so far is and has been very interesting! o: also, I am impressed by the quality of your art-it’s so fluid! > w < it is lovely. x3
Have a wonderful weekend, with much fun experienced with loved ones! I await the Monday comic with the tension always reserved for your updates. =)

Oh my gosh, Kate, maybe you are secretly me in disguise. I almost left that as a comment. WEIRD.
Anyway…. I can’t help but notice that Prego-Peach is kind of really, REALLY symbolic given the context of Johan’s flashbacks. It made the whole thing (which is already incredible) that much better.

The vomit splatter on the shoe is an especially nice touch.

What a wonderful comic! I love looks at Anders and Maria before the comic started and things got “complicated.” I also enjoyed Sofia’s site; she’s got a really cool style.

I just wanted to say that i have been reading this comic for a very long time now and it’s my favourite one. Rene, you’re so talented. Your characters are amazing, they have such depth and are like real human beings. And this guest comic is so awesome! Good work, you two

rene, you really are so talented. your art it lovely but the way you have made the characters real to me has made this my very favourite comic (please dont stop posting it!!!) this strip is amazing too, i didnt even realise that that guy was anders. what a jerk! i sypathize a lot with maria – im rather against emo pretentious “indie ” culture, and its rife in my city. i’m an artist though and you kind of cant get away from it.
youre ace rene, keep up the good work

And THAT is why I fucking hate amateur photography. Just travel the world with a camera and stick one recurring theme in all of your photos, and you have a full art display.
