Oh, he deserves this comeuppance imho but Maria doesn’t. I hope someone will be there for her. If Anders does make it that good but it would not for (just) his sake.
Until I see an inkling of him reflecting on all of his bullshit, I’m going to keep my hopes pretty low for our oversexed protagonist.

I’m pretty sure that here in the states you actually do get that phone call (to call your lawyer or a family member) and, since you have the right to remain silent, they have to (or at least in its their best interest) to give it to you as soon as you ask… is that not the case in Sweden?

You’re allways allowed to call a public defender, free of charge (and you can request any lawyer, even a famous, expensive, hotshot lawyer), but the D.A. and the person in charge of the Jail decides if you can make phonecalls to other people. And if you are allowed, it’s on your own expense.
