It’s time for Back-to-School Webcomic Recommendations: webcomic entertainments, for you, for free!

1) Gastrophobia by David McGuire: My new favourite! It is so funny and so charming. It’s about a Barbarian warrior, single mother and her “precocious little scamp” son and their adventures in Ancient Greece. The last panel on this page had me lol-ing, and that does not happen very often.

2) Raymondo Person by Patrick Alexander: This comic is a delight to read. Every panel on every page is FUN. I don’t think I’ve laughed harder at any other comic. Patrick is one of my favourite cartoonists. He has an understanding of cartooning, humour, and timing that is rare to see. You’ve already seen Patrick’s work here before during my guest week, and you all know it’s good. Go read his stuff! Psst! Barry Scrumbles is my favourite!

3) Girls With Slingshots by Danielle Corsetto: If there is any comic that I think Anders Loves Maria readers would enjoy, it’s Girls With Slingshots. It’s funny, sexy and has vagina t-shirts with clitoral smiles!

4) Wondermark by David Malki !: I feel like everyone has heard of Wondermark at this point, but it doesn’t hurt to remind you of it’s brilliance, which is, at it’s basic level, a mash-up of lovely stock Victorian images with Malki !’s added humour. But at a deeper level it’s… well… a mash-up of lovely stock Victorian images with Malki !’s added humour. But it’s very good humour.

So, please, enjoy these comics instead of doing your school work. You’re welcome!
