I’m thinking possible miscarriage too, I remember way back in the beginning there being something about that mentioned and Maria being a little worried (like way back when she saw the doctor for the first time). Come one, the age difference isn't *that* much, and certainly not between Maria and Johan so there wouldn't be any confusion there. If there wasn't a baby, there would be no reason to assume either of the guys who brought her in was "the father". You wouldn't just assume the patient's father brought her in; you would probably assume they were both friends of hers. No way.
