I forgot to mention this when I first put the comic up. While doing a daily scan of comics I noticed 2 in particular that I think are having a go at me. They’re denying it of course, but I’m sceptical. The first one has way too many real Swedish words and the second one, well you be the judge!

Re: Other comics having a go at you. Hilarious! I didn’t even notice the reference in SGR until you pointed it out (I’d probably just assumed it was another of John Allison’s Brit pop culture references I don’t get), but it’s definitely there.

This reminds me of the night I broke up with my first girlfriend. Once we’d talked it out and everything was clear: BAM! She was all over me like slime on Peter Venkman. I calmly explained that I wasn’t going to change my mind, but she just wanted some of me before it became unavailable. I totally understand what Tina is doing.

Sad. I’ve been in Tina’s place, where she think she loves him but doesn’t understand its just desperation and a fear of being alone. It isn’t love, its dependency. I grew out of that finally, but it seems like Tina has been stuck in it her whole life.

I can’t say anything for the first comic, but I can vouch for Scary Go Round. Lots of social references, language things, and I think someone pointed out on the Helvete Bjorn (I can’t use pronunciation stuffs) strip, it’s fashionable to have a go at other countries. …it was just a matter of time before that country was yours.

i agree with those that say if anders goes through with it my final shreds of respect for him are out the window…and he’ll deserve whatever he gets (i.e. secret films released on television or whatever - which maria chances to see just as anders tries to get her back!) but possibly more interesting is tina possibly already being pregnant. i think she horked bc she’s preggers and despite what the country might think of him when it all comes out on tv with two pregnant women and no way to support them, other women will still want anders. ugh.
i also missed the joke on anderslovesmaria when i first saw the sgr strip! that is hilarious - milford should move in with tina next - he’d be down for sloppy seconds in a heartbeat!

I don’t think John Allison is having a go at you (Sweden, maybe). In SGR (and the comic before it, Bobbins) he has presented a rather interesting viewpoint of a number of countries including Wales and Iceland.
