Anders Loves Mario by KC Green

So this is a bit late going up but I have a good excuse. Basically I’m in York having a blast and abusing Luke Toomey’s hospitality. We drew some funny comics together which I might post later. Went to Leeds last night to see Buck 65. Now I am on my way to Cardiff. The UK is so much fun! Thank you Britannia!

Totally irrelevant to comic, but Buck 65 is seriously cool. Sex on legs, with attitude to match. Saw him last week and he was pretty mindblowing, especially considering he’s just rapping and scratching over backing tracks.
Anyway, lovin the comic, though missing the storyline. Been left langing a while now. Guest’s are all great so far, though everyone really hates Anders, there is no sympathy around these parts of late.
I mean, I get why, he’s being a bit of a douche, but I kind of appreciate where he’s coming from. Acting like an idiot because of emotional states and stress seem to be going around everyone at the moment, and Maria was going pretty nuts at the time.
Anyway, it’s all very heartbreaking, and I can empathise with Anders, who doesn’t seem to be anywhere he wants to be. Everyone’s got to face up to the consequences of their actions sometimes, so he’s getting what he deserves, but at the same time he is only human.
I’m getting a little over involved here I think. But that’s to your credit. Everything is real and believable, the characterisation is perfection.
Keep it up, and don’t go breaking my heart no more now…y’hear?

Buck 65 was in Leeds? I’m honestly more amused by that than the Mario reference, excellent though it may be. This is not a reflection on the quality of the guest strip, but rather a testament to the awesomeness that is Buck 65. Really, how many other rappers have fathers who clears snow with a flamethrower? Or write excellent songs about roses & bluejays?

If you get a chance to see this while you’re still there, Let me plug my favourite coffee shop, Atlantic Coffee on St.Mary’s Street and the corner of castle (I think) arcade.
Maybe you could tell me what you think, assuming you get a look around. I often wonder what visitors make of my little home town.

If you get a chance to read this while you’re still there, I’d like to plug my favourite coffee shop. It’s called Atlantic Coffee, Its on the corner of High Street and High Street Arcade (In the town centre).
I don’t know if you’re going to be doing much sight-seeing but if you do, I’d like to hear what you think of my little home-town, I often wonder what it looks like to visitors.
We have the oldest record shop in the world too
