I really, really love this fella’s colouring.
March 21st, 2008 at 11:59 am
Haha very funny!

I found my way here to this lovely comic by way of another recently discovered comic called Kukuburi. After reading the archives straight through, and this guest update, I am compelled to comment. I have been reading webcomics for a few months now, and this is one of the best. The dialogue is smart, funny, and emotional all at once. Anders and Maria come off as real characters.
Rene sometimes seems to worry about her usage of the English language. She shouldn’t. Her command of the language is better than a lot of artists that were raised speaking it. Keep up the good work, and I await your next update.

As I understand it Rene was also raised speaking English. But then her years in Sweden has lagomized her brain.
March 21st, 2008 at 1:14 pm
Nice, nice, nice. Definitely the best guest comic strip I’ve seen to date.
March 21st, 2008 at 1:14 pm
As I understand it, Rene was raised not speaking at all. She had to teach herself basic English at the age of 24.
March 21st, 2008 at 1:23 pm
LMAO!!
March 21st, 2008 at 3:04 pm
Awww, you guys! Thanks! I was actually really unhappy with the colouring at first, so it’s nice to hear that somebody likes it!
I AM INTERNET FAMOUS NOW
March 21st, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Hee, awesome! Love where Lars is being punched back.
FYI, there’s two Ls in the word “like” from the phrase “llike an artillery shell” by mistake.
March 21st, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Aww Luke, the colouring is fantastic! Do not be down on yourself, my boy ^_^ Great comic!
March 21st, 2008 at 5:25 pm
Hey Toom, in your portfolio, the first 999 Kra! link is the same as the second one. Just letting you know.
The look on Maria’s face in panel two cracks me up. Nice job, dude!
March 21st, 2008 at 7:08 pm
Ahaha, woooooh. I giggled. Whimpy-Anders flailing his arms in the second version made my day. Also Maria’s smug face in the last panel of the first telling. Heheh!
March 21st, 2008 at 7:18 pm
Yeah, uhm,
…..Fantastic. I’m pretty sure that’s the only sentiment that describes it.
And Luke, internet fame is totally the best kind of fame. Just ask that Numa Numa dance guy.
March 21st, 2008 at 7:33 pm
I’m most impressed with how well he captured Lars. Man he got that Stockholmare down goooood.
March 21st, 2008 at 8:03 pm
Heheh that’s great… n I went to school with Luke, woop!
March 21st, 2008 at 11:57 pm
This is fucking funny.
March 22nd, 2008 at 6:04 am
Eh. Alright, I guess this has officially taken the plunge into “guest comic” territory, offering very little else for a while here.
::sighs::
Congratulations on not drawing your own strips.
As any true, ORIGINAL character development begins to fade, other artists ride in to take its place.
We’ve read it.
We’ve read it.

An excellent impression, Alex F. I really want to punch you.
March 22nd, 2008 at 7:47 am
Yes Alex boo to any genuine sentiment there.
March 22nd, 2008 at 10:34 am
I MEANT EVERY WORD
March 22nd, 2008 at 5:25 pm
So what? go away and fade into the interneters….
March 22nd, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Alex and Patrick may be lovers
March 23rd, 2008 at 1:15 am
Well if you’d actually READ whats beneath the comics and also in the RSS feeds you’d realise that Rene has actually taken the time to go and meet and greet some real fan’s/readers…
Alternatively if you could actually draw.. which i doubt HIGHLY, there would be an opertunity to see how well YOU can actually keep to deadlines and draw a page a day - look after your family and take time to actually meet real readers…
or i can just get board with your ORIGINAL comments as they fade under sarcasm… ALEX.F deleted from memory..

Rene it was awesome to meet you in person, and im lovin my drawing of Maria, johan and Mystery Shroom!! he he

I love this quest strip super cute! I wish I could have come today but I’ve found out recently I actually don’t have all the money in the world. Who knew?
Can’t wait to see what’s next!
March 23rd, 2008 at 6:16 am
woah, now the comments are really sounding like snipey internet bitching at commenters as opposed to the maria/tina divide.
March 23rd, 2008 at 6:29 am
woops sorry about that. its just i met rene today and she was really cool and pretty chilled out and being an illustrator myself it just gets on my nerves when you see someone moaning because they have to wait a week for the next page to read.
Its a bit sad really criticising the artist instead of saying. Hey it’s cool i’ll just wait a week because in the end it’ll be worth the wait.
March 23rd, 2008 at 8:01 am
Alex F., I don’t know you at all, but I can tell you were joking, even if pretty much nobody else can. In defense of others, it’s not obvious unless they’ve read all the comments on the previous entry.
Love the comic. A friend recently linked it up on a forum I run, and I read through the entire archive in a couple of days. I’d love to read the entire mini comic, even if it’s not an actual physical comic, y’know? Paper or PDF makes little difference to me.
March 23rd, 2008 at 8:14 am
friends, it’s clear that i need to revise my assumptions about whether it can be assumed that everyone commenting on the current strip has read the comments for the previous strip. lesson learned!
March 23rd, 2008 at 11:00 am
hey Rene did you sell out of all of your little mini comix?
March 23rd, 2008 at 11:20 am
Hi guys! Please don’t hate on Alex F, she’s a good friend of mine just poppin’ in and supporting me in her special way! Thanks Alex, Luke and I had a good laugh at your comment.
It was GREAT meeting you guys yesterday. I am truly exhausted. London adventures have been so much fun so far! puss på er!
March 23rd, 2008 at 5:13 pm
Then go and draw some new pages!!
:3
March 23rd, 2008 at 7:01 pm
Alex F.: A++++ would deal with again.
But yes, great fun meeting you yesterday, Rene. I’m also sure Amanda will appreciate the Tina sketch that you graciously did for me. : D Thanks so much!
March 23rd, 2008 at 10:14 pm
Squashynose, WHO ARE YOU. I am intrigued! (This is Luke on Rene’s computer.)
March 23rd, 2008 at 10:47 pm
Haha, to be honest I bet you don’t even remember me, met you thru’ my sister, Nicola (don’t wanna put surname on here) err… she had red hair and huuge boobs
March 23rd, 2008 at 10:51 pm
So no one exciting, sorry. But loving the comic…
March 24th, 2008 at 3:01 am
bex, you took the words right out of my mouth. i wouldn’t have posted such an identical comment, had your comment showed up before mine! what a kerfuffle this comments section has been for me. luke, your strip is fantastic. my favorite moment is when MiniLars goes flying, and a close second is the frightening visage of ineffectual-pansy-anders.
March 24th, 2008 at 5:35 am
Rene, I know we are kind of done talking about this, but I love the nudity in your comic. The characters are drawn very beautifully with or without clothing and I can appreciate that!
March 24th, 2008 at 9:06 am
okay now i feel like a tit.. sorry Alex.F
March 24th, 2008 at 11:32 am
no worries! i am the bigger tit for failing to cause lols.
April 1st, 2008 at 1:00 am
Yay! Tits everywhere!
April 11th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Haha
Noooo, Maria.
I think we all know how big of a dick he has (and is!!) ;p
After all, it was in the papers!!
April 15th, 2008 at 2:52 am
Yeah, I nearly tagged “so the camera really does add ten pouinds” to the end, but decided the punchline worked better without a follow-up.
