    Buahahahaha!!

    Those eyes… the pain….

    D:

  2. Jess Says:

ugh I wish tina would give up just for herself.. and I wish anders would stop being a twat and end it. Is he just afraid of being alone? =/

  3. Kenya Says:

Ha! I’ve yelled the same things at Tina before. It’s fun to yell at the internet!

  4. Kenya Says:

Also, her traveling with him to Stockholm is a really bad idea. If I were Maria the last thing I would want to see is them together.

  5. mary Says:

no he has not given it any more thought, obviously, you are not on his mind unless you’re in his face!

  6. RL Says:

Why did he lose respect for her? For being in a band, or for dating Bjorn, or is that a really lame band magazine in Sweden?

Also, oh god, if Anders brings Tina to Stockholm, while still hoping to get back together with or have peace with Maria at ALL, he is certifiably insane. He’s already being silly by sleeping with Tina while still being all hypocritically angry about Bjorn (especially when he’s the one who effectively ended the relationship with his outside shenanigan).

And, having been somewhat of a Tina in my life (except without the whole vomitous the dude is cheating thing), please, god, Tina, just STOP. Stick up for yourself. Get some self worth. Christ.

  7. Matthias Says:

Yay! They’re finally out of the bedroom… and snooping creepily on the internet. Oops. Oh well. Every good relationship is based off of successful scans on Google.

  8. MoBurkhardt Says:

Is the band called falkon like the beer? or was that falcon? dunno

  9. ashley Says:

tina spends a lot of time crying, or looking like she’s going to cry.

  10. David Says:

The “drawing of Google” panel is amazing!

  11. gwen Says:

so mrs queue-for-anything is working at the gas station now?

  12. tender Says:

Each day hurts so much… dammit, anders.
You make things so hard for Tina

    :D

  13. Brandon Says:

Who DOESN’T yell at the internet? I mean you can yell at it when it breaks, gives you bad news, has an idiot on it, or when beloved comic characters won’t stop being frustratingly lovable and painfully idiotic. Huh, who would’ve thought? A comic about yelling at the internet makes me yell at the internet.

But seriously, the internet is like that big asshead your high school crush was dating in high school. There is so much to hate about them, but they hook up with everyone anyway.

    Friggin’ slutty internet.

  14. Brandon Says:

Also: I am awesome for the redundant use of high school. *wishes there was an edit comment button*

  15. Nicolas Says:

My, we feel so strongly about what the characters should do. It’s amazing.

Also: I love googling people, especially myself. It gives me a sense of the brevity of life to see that I’ve died several times already (mostly in the 18th century). Such are the perks of genealogy websites.

  16. Tapelia Says:

oh rene, how much abuse are you going to make tina take? she seems to have fallen very heavily in love (or should that be need) given it’s only been a few weeks. this instalment did make me giggle though. that anders is quite a catch…

  17. Rene Engström Says:

Mo: Maria and Björn’s old band was called Falkonkräst (as in Falcon Crest the soap opera)

  18. katie Says:

mary, Anders doesn’t even have Tina on his mind when she IS in his face. The entire time they were having sex it was ‘maria this maria that what does maria see in bjorn’ also i find it hilarious that anders is going through and looking up all the stuff he can find on maria and bjorn’s past. jeeealous much?

  19. Tapelia Says:

this is a repeat of a comment i left late yesterday - but does anyone else find that the fact that Maria is pregnant makes this whole situation far far worse? Don’t get me wrong – it’d be sad even if she wasn’t – but they are all adults and we humans do do rather silly things at time…

But somehow knowing there’s a new life on the way and that he/she is going to land right in the middle of all this…

  20. Chuck Says:

Tapelia, I think the baby hasn’t being the main issue until now… can’t understand why. Anders now sees way more focused in Maria’s past than in his own child. Before that, he was annoyed by Maria’s bitching… He was only aware of the baby at the beginning.

Dunno, it might be a different culture too. “Trying something different” is not a valid reason to destroy the family of your son BEFORE he is born.

Or Anders is just a brainless dope…

  21. docfrance Says:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=anders+silfersked&um=1&ie=UTF-8&safe=on&sa=N&tab=iw

Bah, nothing interesting actually comes up.

  22. Rene Engström Says:

docfrance: I know! I really am interested in doing some wiki stuff but I know wiki and webcomics don’t mix.

  23. Olga Says:

Just yelling at the internet.. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel so introspective now.

    Tina, You idiot!

  24. ingrid Says:

I love the drawing of the Apple laptop! It looks exactly like the one I’m using right now!

This comic is like a juicy soap opera with the bad bits cut out. I’m so glad I found it!

  25. Ben Says:

The internet deserves to be yelled at!
especially when it allows so many to creepily investigate each other from the cushiness of a gas station backroom or the desk in the home of a new lover.
it really goes to show you how distracted anyone can get when relationships get this crazy wacky complex/mislead screwed up

  26. Ashley Kromarek Says:

If the internet isn’t for cyberstalking your boy or girlfriend or their exes, then I don’t know what the hell it is for.

  27. Mandiiv Says:

Oh, yelling at the internet. One of my favorite pastimes.

  28. Dan the man Says:

Ashley: the internet is for porn…

    dammit couldn’t help myself

Diesel Sweeties showed me the way!

  29. Ashley Kromarek Says:

dan the man, how wise you are. How could I forget that its all about boobs and butts!?

  30. Chuck Says:

    …and bork…. :3

  31. Kate Says:

The only thing better than yelling at the internet is yelling ABOUT the internet when you’re away from your computer and in a group of people who have no idea what the hell you’re talking about.

And Brandon, you are so right. High school sucks major monkey balls. The angsty atmosphere creates drama and stress in random, random places. Still better than middle school though.
    Plus there’s more sex. ;)
    Although that’s only fun if you’re in on the action. ;_;
Otherwise, just stay AWAY from any couches in your local high school. Seriously.

  32. Aviv Says:

    that was a funny one

  33. Mandiiv Says:

… also I love how people have different reactions to different things. I thought this comic was very cute and funny, whereas others are all ‘AUGH RENE STOP TWISTING THE KNIFE IN MY HEAARRTTTTT.’

  34. Brandon Says:

Actually Mandiiv, part of what makes this comic (meaning the entire comic at large) is that it is capable of doing both at the same time. Kind of like eating the most delicious and simultaneously most poisonous cookie in the universe.

It’ll kill you on the inside, but goddamn if it doesn’t make you smile and feel all warm and fuzzy.

  35. kasha Says:

what on earth would make tina think her going back with anders would even be a remotely good idea?

  36. cornan Says:

She wants to be there for him. It’s simple as that. One thing that a lot of commentators seem to be forgetting is that people never see themselves (ok, rarely see themselves) as being the “bad guy”.

In Anders case he sees Maria as being self centered for not noticing how much her family was hurting him and mean spirited for actively hurting someone who hadn’t done anything to her (that he knew of) and who had been nothing but nice to him. Not that this justifies his subsequent banging of Tina on the couch with the shades open, but that’s the point of view he’s coming from.

Maria sees Anders as being self absorbed for not caring that she hates Tina even though he has no direct reason to agree with her hatred. She sees him as being so focused on himself and this problem “he got them into” (despite the fact that her taunting of ass man is what started the whole mess) that he isn’t paying attention to her feelings.

Tina sees herself as being (based on strips to date, there may be more info we don’t have of course) wrongly and unjustly attacked by Maria and her brother and sees Anders as a knight in shining armor who came to help her get her house cleaned up and was kind to her despite the way his fiance was treating her. She doesn’t see herself as so much “the other woman” as “the right woman”. This is a sort of “Thank god he’s not with that horrible woman anymore. He had no idea what he was in for with that bitch. I will be so much better for him and he’s such a wonderful man, he deserves better.” kind of thing.

Bjorn (again, assuming there isn’t some drastic insight exposed later that we don’t have yet) sees himself as getting back together with the girl he should have still been with in the past. He doesn’t see himself as breaking up a relationship because her fiance cheated on her and they ended it. In he steps.

So no one is seeing themselves as being the bad guy or an inherent engine of emotional destruction. Tina wants to go with Anders to be there for him and support him against the devil woman. We (mostly) think this is a bad idea because we’re invested in Anders and Maria making things right or at least setting up some sort of amicable situation for the baby. Tina is not invested in this. In her perfect world Anders would be all hers and at the very least the baby would come by once in a while or maybe Anders would keep the baby and Maria would vanish into thin air.

Of course, this is all just my opinion. I could be wrong.

  37. cornan Says:

Holy crap. I didn’t realize I just wrote a book there. Sorry about that.

  38. Rowen Morland Says:

“docfrance: I know! I really am interested in doing some wiki stuff but I know wiki and webcomics don’t mix. ”

I was also disapointed by my search.

Rene. We must find an actor to portray Anders silfersked as an infamous figure thus causing Wiki to spontaineously generate an article… or maybe a stand alone complex….

  39. Rene Engström Says:

Ha ha! The Anders Silfersked wiki? That would be fun. I was seriously considering registering anderssilfersked.com but I can’t even afford a unique domain for the comic let alone a fun little side project.

  40. Dan the man Says:

Rene: You don’t need to create a unique domain for Anders, I think most of us would be happy to play along and ignore the fact that the URL would be anderssilfersked.reneengstrom.com instead of just anderssilfersked.com.

Or you can just wait sooner or later some nut, no wait, I mean fan. Will like the idea enough to give you a domain.
    Won’t be me though, I’m pooor… ;D

On a different point and this has bothered me since I read that you posted the characters on facebook, I know full well I might be affected by the panicheadlines Metro published here in Sweden and therefore overreacting, but you did read through their clauses about intellectual property?

Cornan: Just a point of disagreement, you don’t have to be vested in the institution that was Anders and Maria to think that its wrong for Tina to be with him. Its enough to recognize that Anders is being the sort of bastard that somehow seems to come more or less naturally to a guy since we our joystickcommando trying to overrule every decent cause of action. As long as it seems like it will get to take a “dip”.

Besides books are ok, its when one seems to be on his way to writing the equivalent of the British Encyclopedia you’ll have to watch out. ;)

  41. Rene Engström Says:

Dan. I’m not so worried. Anders and Maria are just “people” on FB. I’m not putting up artwork or stories.
