I think Bjorn used to be an asshole, but he’s grown into “cocky and sure” more than asshole.

This page has me wondering if Maria got pregnant before by him and got an abortion or something (it didn’t look like they had used protection, for one). After all, we don’t know how their previous relationship ended… this page definitely makes me think!

Yeah, I’m liking Bjorn more (which, for the record, is great). And he’s not being creepy at all - pregnant women are incredibly beautiful.

Ditto @ Keaton. At first I assumed the “second chance” was at a relationship, but after just talking about the baby… still, why would he want one? Doesn’t seem the fatherly type.

keaton has a good point, but honestly i think when you’re naked and riding a guy is the wrong time to bring up that you feel weird about the situation. especially when she says she feel’s nothing…pretty sure she wasn’t talking about the baby!

I dunno, I’m not sure if I’m a huge fan of “We’re getting a second chance” while holding his hand to Anders and Maria’s (or at least I THINK so, Rene never ceases with that thing that seems totally obvious in hindsight, but you definitely didn’t see coming) baby. Edgin’ in on another dude’s kid to start your own familial unit doesn’t feel right.
And just as a sidenote: Look here we are when Maria is 26 (which would make Bjorn 34 by comparison) and already, their age gap doesn’t seem to matter at all to anyone.

I don’t think that Bjorn is bad guy… Yeah, he took advantage of a girl he still had feelings for while she was on the rebound. Newsflash, that kind of shit happens all the time. He hugged her while she cried, he called her beautiful when she is probably feeling disgusting, and he is being the type of guy that a lot of women look for.
So if he got with her right after a relationship ended. ok, that is a little mean but not the end of the world.
If he is FINALLY getting with her for the FIRST time since they started hanging out…. the point is he waited. Anders is healed. A lot of time has passed.

Yeeeeeeeah, I’m still liking Anders/Tina and Maria/Bjorn a lot better than Anders/Maria >> I feel like a bit of a traitor, but the two couples seem to fit together very well. Not sure how I feel about the baby factoring into the whole equation, though. I mean, it IS Anders’ kid, and it was Anders who wanted to have the baby originally…but he seems a lot less occupied with the idea of fatherhood, lately.

I have to say that I agree with Aleke. Bjorn waited a looong time before making this move and has been nothing but supportive of the whole Anders thing. Not to say that I wouldn’t like to see Maria and Anders back together…I just think Bjorn isn’t the asshole he was 11 years ago.

I’m not sure Maria “fits” very well with any male in the story so far. Anders+Maria seems to be a match that will only ever work out because of love, not because of any practicality or sensibility. And you know what? That seems okay. It’ll just be a rocky road getting there.

Aleke and Frijole are right, Bjorn did the exact opposite of Tina, by being supportive instead of just creeping around and being weird like Tina… And I think he has at least a little bit more of a chance of getting approval for that reason.

I can only think this: both Maria and Anders are WAY confused…. And it’s starting to get a bit annoying (at least for me). If they keep trying to feel better or whatever they are doing right now with SEX, they are really screwed (both literally and inside their relationship).

Yurgh. I don’t know why exaclty, but everything that Björn is a big creep. and not just that but I think that he’s pretty self centered. He can only think about how things are in relation to himself. “We’re getting a second chance” Just seems like he doesn’t care how this feels for maria’s perspective. it’s all about him, if she’s with him lucky her.
Blergh, maybe I’m over analysing this with inexpert tools, but whatever. even superficially he’s a bit of a creep to me.

I’m not crazy about bjorn, because maybe, if I were 24, I wouldn’t have done what he did–he was kind of a tool then. A. I wouldn’t sleep with a 15 year old B. IF I did, I’d DEFINITELY be prepared to be in a relationship with them, or I would have made it clear before I put my finger inside of them while their brother stood there!!!! You know? You don’t slyly stick your finger in someone, he only got away with it because she was young & inexperienced & drunk. That’s pretty lame.
That was the creep move. Yea, Bjorn has improved, I think he has matured & cultivated real, deep feelings for Maria. But, I’m not crazy about him anyway, 24 is pretty old to be THAT clueless.
As for now, I don’t think they could be a good couple, because of the baby, honestly. If Maria wasn’t “with child” it’d be different, but I don’t think it’d be a great choice for her to shack up with the guy she slept with at 15 right now. I think she (And Anders…!) have a lot to figure out and work on together…. and they should both be single now for a little bit. If Maria wasn’t pregnant, I’d say, sure…. go have your fun
But with her pregnancy, I think they need to maturely discuss what role they will each play in the baby & their lives.

Some technical baby questions:
How far along is Maria? Should she be able ot feel the baby move about?
I just realized I’ve been continuing to read under the assumption that the baby will be born healthy - not to be a total downer - but perhaps, we should not take anything for granted?

bjorn didn’t mature, or cultivate… he’s 34 for christs sake … he learned to be patient!! Yes he was supportive… and yes he was there for her .. but he still loves her .. and ALL this was in the back of his mind when he was supportive and good … “If I’m here long enough … she might want me back”
I’m not sure but I thought the first time Bjorn appeared .. that it might be possible that there WAS a baby before… (you know … maybe … JUST maybe … there WAS actually a born baby by maria … which maybe died.. OR an abortion has been made ..

Bjorn was a bit of a creeper, but considering the fact that they’ve both grown up (physically anyway. Not sure about mentally for Maria
), he’s not really that creepy.
People can still love someone else even if the age different is a bit… er… awkward to say the least.

Hmm, I don’t think he loved her in those earlier scenes
He stuck his finger in her despite not knowing her, with her brother in the room–I call hijinks!
I think, yea, maybe eventually, in the past he loved her, but we didn’t see any love in their first encounter… now, he seems to love her, or have some love for her–he does seem more mature than the young man giving guitar lessons, I think!

Anyway, Bjorn is a tool. Its one thing to swoop in on a girl when her relationship is just starting to crash, but if they have a baby on the way then what he’s doing is straight up villainous. MAYBE he’s matured enough to want more than a fuck from a younger girl, but clearly now is the wrong time and the wrong girl. And I guess I still havent forgiven him for what happened in the flashback.

i don’t know why, but i kinda used to think that bjorn and tina were somehow related for some reason, and that was part of the reason why maria hates tina. i have no idea why i thought this at all, though.
