Anders Loves (X)
Friday, February 8th, 2008I’ve decided to not do a strip today and focus on my family instead. As I mentioned in the last post, my boyfriend is in the hospital with a bacterial infection in his blood. We don’t know the severity yet and I am worried sick.
Instead I am posting the most incredible thing I have ever received. These drawings have provided me with nonstop smiles since they were originally posted in the Something Awful forums by the incredibly talented and hilarious Patrick Alexander of Raymondo Person. I don’t have much time for reading comics on the internet because of family duties, and if it wasn’t for these two drawings I would never have discovered just how brilliant Patrick is. I urge everyone to go and read his comics and give him lots of money (and kisses).
Also, I would love this to become a meme of sorts. Please send me drawings of Anders loving things. It would cheer me up immensely!

I do hope things go well with your family tho and hopefully it won’t be too bad for your boyfriend and that he gets well soon D: I would understand if you put ALM on a lower priority for a little bit longer until things get cleared up IRL. It’ll be worth the wait when it’s back!
I may draw a few more of these but I really wanna see what other people come up with. This looks like a fun meme! XD

I hope your all goes well with your boyfriend and that he gets better soon! It’s totally understandable that you’re taking time off to spend with your family - in fact we (or at least I) would scold you mightily if you didn’t! ^_^

i can’t draw but i do have some mental images: anders lovers marinara (large amounts of seafood and pasta being rubbed into his face); anders loves marina (anders dancing around a portside aquarium freaking out the orka); anders loves arny (anders skipping through the fields hand in hand with schwarzenegger); anders loves aria (anders in indy threads at the opera crying his eyes out with many snooty people looking disapproving). can only hope it brings a smile.

so sorry to hear about your BF! my own partner was in a car accident a few months ago so I know how worried you must be feeling. Please don’t forget to look after yourself and take some time out for just you!

Doodled these at work in a tiny notebook I keep in my apron. I work at Red Lobster, so the last two were inevitable.

I wish I could draw, because someone suggested Anders Loves Flanders (a la The Simpsons) and I feel like I should make that a reality somehow.
Other good suggestions from my friends over my shoulder:
Anders Loves His Artist (because Rene could use the extra hugs right about now)
or
Anders Loves His Fans (of course, then you would draw ceiling fans and room fans and stuff because why would Anders love US? A lot of us have called him a bastard)

If no one else does an Anders loves Flanders or an Anders Loves Rene, I just might hop in and do it myself when I’m back to work. Those are adorable suggestions.
