Funny, I was just about to ask where Maria and Johan’s mom was. I’ve been wondering about her status from when they first arrived in Kuktrask and she called for BOTH of her parents (see #064).
I’m curious about what type of person she is at present as much as I am learning of her in the past!

Quick suggestion–I was quite confused as to what was going in this page on until I read your note below the comic. In previous “flashbacks” you used a distinct drawing style, but here you do not. I think this could use some sort of visual cue to indicate that that this is outside of the main story’s timeline.

I have been using a sepia tone quality to the last flashbacks, which is something I am going to stick with for awhile. Hopefully this is clear for everyone. No?

Hullo, wandered in from somewhere… Sam and Fuzzy I think? Spent a day going over the archives, and love the comic! It’s in regular rotation now with the 20 or so others that I check after work.
I’m being most struck by how much small-town Sweden seems to resemble small-town Canada where I grew up. I kind of feel like I know these people. Hell, I think I grew up with these people! I think I had Maria’s childhood… only, well, I’m not a girl!
Anyway, enjoying it!

Yes, culturally Sweden and Canada are very similar, especially up in the north. I have lived in both northern Sweden and Canada and there are few differences.

i love long haired maria as well. it makes her seem more innocent, which i guess is the point as she is 15 years old in this one. also i agree with Morr. I love johan!
