Oh Anders…. ‘most fun I’ve had since coming to this shit hole’ You know, I didn’t think the family were THAT terrible, the brother was broody and rude, Maria hated it there, and the dad seemed like a drunk redneck, but they weren’t THAT awful to him, seemed to me more like they were just taking the mick out of him a lot!!! I’ve had a lot worse:):) But that seems like such a vile thing to say.
and yeah, them having to go there was because he was in trouble with the police, but despite Maria starting the altercation with the ass man, it wasn’t HER fault that the assman hit her thus bringing the punches out, she started out of thinking of Yumi…
However, for someone who seemed pretty upset to not get to talk to Maria, he is being a pretty huge asshole to her at the first chance she is giving him. He is pretty classy at this point.
At this point, Anders and Maria can both jump off a bridge for all I care. Its Tina I feel sorry for. I wish she’d get a spine and boot Anders’ ass to the curb.
Anders needs to grow up. Maria’s family took him in because he did something stupid and had to leave the country. Maria’s hate might be irrational but Anders didn’t really want to try to understand why she was holding onto it, or try to help her get over it. Instead he took the job anyway and fucked Tina, and is now trying to justify it because he felt like her family wasn’t getting on with him? Which is wholly ironic because they probably thought he wasn’t good enough for her, and look at what he did to prove them right. “I was fed up with your shit.” Wow, yes god forbid the PREGNANT mother of your child is behaving hormonally about some childhood enemy of hers, you DICK.

I think you’re forgetting that this whole mess started when Anders was trying to defend Maria against the guy on the street. He had to leave because of that!
“Behaving hormonally” doesn’t mean spray-painting obscenities on someone’s home. If she hadn’t crossed that line, this wouldn’t have happened. Plain fact.
It’s scary how many people justify Maria’s actions because she’s pregnant. She’s obviously as immature as Anders. She just acted out with crass public vandalism instead of drunken adultery.
Both are idiots, neither is right. Both keep taking ten steps back for every step toward any reconciliation, but really, all Maria’s done is take smaller steps backward than Anders.
Anders loves Maria. More like Anders OWNS Maria, am I right?
But yeah, seriously, they need to do this face to face. The phone can distort what people really mean and feel. I hope for the sake of the story that they do meet up again (I mean, come on, they’ve gotta).

Oh my gosh, I almost agree with joe. Yikes! Well, for the sake of this being fiction, where at the end of the day Rome can’t be burning, the stars still have to burn, and life has to be normal; I hope they get back together. If this were a naughtier comic, I’d want Tina to keep shagging Anders, because it’s so beautiful when they’re at it.
FINALLY! I know this comment won’t get read by anyone, but I just discovered ALM and have been going through the archives, reading both the comics and the comments, and it’s been bugging me that most commenters were taking Maria’s side and Anders’ side was never presented. I’m very happy to see him doing it himself. And while his actions can’t be entirely justified, Maria had been a right bitch to him up until that point so I don’t blame him too much for what happened.
