#093 - 2008-01-18
Friday, January 18th, 2008Well not as late as I thought so it seems.
EDIT:
Here is what a lusekofta looks like. You can’t see the cute little clasps in the front, but here is me sitting in a beer tent with one.

Also new comic coming soon. I slept in this morning!

So she didn’t know that Maria had a famous boyfriend. Interesting.

Very interisting… Come on Anders go to your Maria!!

Rene - Do not stop this comic. Ever. I keep checking every five minutes for updates, hoping that Sweden is in a mysterious time zone in which comics are constantly made.
In truth, it is now the first web comic I check every day! It keeps getting better!!!

p.s. no, no i did not. if only i could ever not look like a jackass.
January 18th, 2008 at 2:50 pm
It would have been really funny that Tina would have recognized Anders during sex..
“Waaaaait a minute, I have seen this gigantic dick before….”
January 18th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
That girl in red is awesome. I love that girl.
January 18th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
Having a famous sagboob for a mother must be hard. poor anders.

Hi Rene! I started reading your comic a few weeks ago. I really love it! I’m so happy that recently you have been able to update everyday. The first thing I do in the morning is check if there’s a new comic. I’m enjoying the story very much! I can’t wait to see where it goes. Keep up the good work!

Last panel is harsh but also appropriate at this point in Anders’ fuckup process.
January 18th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
Guuu. Back from the mountains and I am sooo sore. Thanks everyone! Yes, Tina did not know about Anders. This was hinted at on Jan 2nds comic.
January 18th, 2008 at 7:24 pm
Wah wah wah wah boing. Nice burn from Tina.
January 18th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Oh snap! Score one for Tina! (Loved the dialog)
January 18th, 2008 at 10:08 pm
Tina is a snatch. Not because of the comment or anything.. just because I feel like saying so.
January 18th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
What’s a snatch?
January 18th, 2008 at 10:27 pm
A mean word for a girls junk, but generally used in joking terms and not as serious when said as say, the c word! In this case, not joking, however.

The girl in the red has to have the most swedish outfit on that I have ever seen.
January 19th, 2008 at 5:46 am
Melissa: Actually what she’s wearing is more Norwegian. It’s called a Lusekofta. It is very common here as well though.
January 19th, 2008 at 8:50 am
I apologize. I’m a dumb american, so I just go off the sterotype.
Do people really wear that out and about in Norway/Swedan? I thought that those were just silly costumes that Disney made up for It’s A Small World.
January 19th, 2008 at 8:55 am
Sure people still wear them? Why wouldn’t they? They’re just sweaters. Google lusekofta, you’ll see that they aren’t that crazy looking.
January 19th, 2008 at 10:02 am
I really dig the details on the smaller woman’s outfit. Meanwhile Anders has that little mostly black outfit of a photographer that screams, “I don’t do messy art!”
On the papers for weeks for that fight (although with weeks that explains how much time it took to get him out of the cast)? Surely theres more newsworthy things for people to be concerned about…
January 19th, 2008 at 10:03 am
P.S.
Rene, don’t be so shy about advertising your comic at the other places. Signatures are there for a reason. Hell, I’m glad you included my website with my fan art.
January 19th, 2008 at 10:07 am
Happypeepeehead. There is loads more newsworthy stuff happening, but this little red lady has her nose in everyone’s business and loves gossip. Evening paper tabloids are her main source of nutrition.
January 25th, 2008 at 12:35 am
I may be wrong, but I think Melissa might actually be referring less to the lusekofta and more to the hat with the soft-ice-cream point on it. I’ve surfed for over an hour for one but still haven’t found a picture. The closest thing I’ve found is something called a Phrygian cap. Is the hat the lady is wearing nälbinded by any chance?
January 25th, 2008 at 12:41 am
Do you mean nålbindad?
January 25th, 2008 at 12:49 am
Honestly I was just drawing a red hat that had a point on the top. Nothing super traditional.
January 25th, 2008 at 1:17 am
I think so, the thing with a wooden needle and wool yarn?
ok, The hat seemed familiar so I was curious to know if it was to Sweden what a Fez was to Morrocco.

A cameo by the artist of “Dogs and Water”?
January 25th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
No, this is just my Anders. No relation.
