considering a few americans just said what state they're from, assuming the whole world knows what a "montana" is, I'm just gonna say that I'm a proud Skåning, and assume that you will all know where I hail from.

(ps, I happen to like world geography, and therefor know all 50 states...but still, adding "USA" at the end would be a good idea :p)

From Brazil, and loving your comic. Got here from Applegeeks (considering all the people bumping the comments in the archives the last two days, I reckon I'm not the only one).

Hey there I got here from QC after that guest comic you did and I must say your comic is amazing. You can add a Russian born in the USSR that lives in France and speaks Mexican to your list of multinational fans.

Strangely enough, your comics do remind me of Astrid Lindgren (like Antsan). I guess that being from the same generation and similar background, we (I at least) really finally get the feel of all those Swedish kitchens, forests, and cinnamon buns we've read about in Karlsson or The Brothers Lionheart. Keep up the good work. You've got me hooked.

Man I am British and I have not had a cup of tea in years (I'm a coffee fella! I know, shocking!) but you caught me with one, asking that, so now I look all stereotypical! Now I've gotta go find my monocle and call some people ruffians...

I think the Swedish influences are really interesting and are way more a benefit than a hinderance to the comic. Keep up the good work!

Here from Germany, born in the GDR. A few month before the wall broke down.

I love swedish content. Maybe it's a little bit cliché, but I am a huge fan of Astrid Lindgren and I think something about the feeling of your comic and her stories is similar.

"So you guys from all over the world, are you finding it easy to read a comic that weighs heavy on the Swedish content? Or do some of the mannerisms and references make you go all wtf?"
Emotions are very cross-cultural, and you're very good at emotions, so don't worry about it!

Besides, Swedish words sometimes remind me of the German I (used to) know. Oh, Pennsylvania, USA here. ...which means I'm here spending most of my time on being entertained, meanwhile forcing my opinions upon strangers. That's how we do it in the 'States, as any reader of Overcompensating would know. I am SO glad that awesome hillbilly linked to your webcomic :)

[...] Yeah, that’s Hollywood’s version of romance; this is Sweden — we’ve only covered two days of story, and life hasn’t begun to get complicated yet. A brush with the law sends the couple to the far north, to Maria’s family, who treat Anders poorly (’cause let’s face it, he’s a pussy). Old crushes and old enemies enter, all concerned make bad decisions, and we’re reminded that nobody can hurt us as much as somebody you know loves you — but doesn’t like you very much right now.
