Wednesday, September 12th, 2007Well I leave tomorrow morning so here is next Monday’s comic a little (a lot) earlier than usual. I’m scared of flying but I am really looking forward to touching my feet on some North American soil. Sweden is my home and I love it very much, but for many who have lived in Canada become painfully aware as to just how shy and reserved the Swedes can be. I look forward to spontaneous parties, gatherings and friendly Canadians.
I would also like to mark the fact that it is a year + 1 day since I started with Anders Loves Maria. How do you guys feel about how the comic is progressing and the direction everything is taking? I would love some feedback!
Thank you everyone for reading this past year. (I’m getting sentimental because I think I might die tomorrow! Gah!)

I’ve been a fan since the strip started. Like the stories and the progression. A very unique strip I must say. Looking forward to their trip to Norrland, since I am a “norrlänning” myself. I wonder if you will go with the “crazy shit” angle or show a more nuanced portrait of us in the North

Let’s just say I will be giving my impression of Norrland. I am also a Norrlänning so I don’t think I will revert entirely to stereotypes. Where in Norrland are you from? There is probably a big difference between say Pajala and Åre.

i love this comic. i have no idea how i found it but once i did, im so happy. it is one of the ones i check to see if it updated even though i know it didn’t. please, please, please continue. i love your stories and you are is wonderful. i like seeing life in a place i have yet to see for myself!

Your webcomic is the first completely inhibited comic I’ve ever seen, and I thank you.
It is really great to see nudity that isn’t porn or used for erotic purposes. The problem is that it’s hard to tell others about ALM because some people may be offended by it. I, on the other hand, encourage stories like this (not because it has the novelty of nudity but because it’s not used erotically).

Thanks for your webcomic — I find it alternately touching, endearing, and hilarious. I would also like to put in my thanks for your making a webcomic that shows nudity for non-erotic purposes (not that I have a problem with erotic nudity, but it should get out more)

I enjoy your comic! It’s a great story and the tall thin people and solid pastels are beautiful. Sex scenes are done very tastefully. Kudos!

You know, I had the same dread building in me before I flew to Denmark in ‘06. Absolutely terrified of flying, especially over a humongous body of water. It turned out to be an amazing experience, though.
