#058 - 2007-09-10

Monday, September 10th, 2007

I have 3 more days until I potentially die in a horrible plane wreck. Chances are I will put next Monday’s comic up on Wednesday or Thursday just in case. I am that scared.

For those of you wondering, Norrland is the far north of Sweden where people do this sort of crazy shit

I have really, really enjoyed your comic. I haven’t seen anything like it, as you do include all that nitty-gritty detail that doesn’t appear in comics without rude humor supporting it. Also, the snow-mobile on grass? I’m from Michigan, and it’s not uncommon for people around this ‘great’ state do stuff like that. Not real sophisticated, but we know how to easily entertain ourselves.

    Swedish rednecks! Neat.

I love maria’s face in the second to last panel, wondrous to say the least, yes yes.

Also, norrland seems like my kind of place…

The poor bastard in the jean vest and long hair is a good friend of mine. He paid the ultimate price for showing me this video. I couldn’t resist.

    That would be pretty fun.
I suppose it’s too late too ask but “How are you potentially going to die in a plane wreck”?

    Fear of flying?

  6. Rene Engström Says:

I am deathly afraid of flying. I wouldn’t be doing this trip if it wasn’t necessary. So pretty pretty please spare me the 1/2500000 chance of a crash sort of statistics. They don’t help, no more than telling a person dealing with infertility to just “relax and it will happen”.

  7. Neil Says:

I’ve always been afraid of flying, and the first time I ever flew there was a thunderstorm. It was nature telling me “don’t be stupid, you’re riding a 20 ton hunk of metal in the SKY this isn’t right.”

I fly in prop planes now.

yes, flying is an abominable invention. unfortunately, it is all too often a necessary evil.
i always make out a very complete will before i fly- it helps me feel like i haven’t left anything unattended to.
