Good morning people of earth!

Today’s comic introduces Lena, Anders’ best friend and co-worker. She’s smart, sassy, practical and not afraid to tell Anders when he is being a dipshit. I’m not too happy with how she looks right now, and you will soon see that her appearance changes slightly as the comic progresses.

Readers: Don’t be shy about leaving comments I love to receive feedback, both of the negative and positive variety.

I love the comic so far, your art style if very original! My only complaint is that it doesnt update more than once a week :)

I’m working on that trust me. It’s probably a good thing that I had kids before venturing out on the web with comics, because I am forced into finding reasonable, economical solutions. Had I been a single girl content with a Pot Noodle/tea diet no problem! :)

mmmmm Lena… I’d have sex with her. C’mon Anders! Wake up dude!

And what’s wrong with Maria pray tell?

I must say I really, really enjoy reading this comic. I would normally be in my american-elf-penny-arcade-pbf-only-and-that’s-period kind of mindset, but your work really keeps me interested. Your color choices really keep iiiit feeling nice. Also, after reading your faux 24 hour comic on AmericanElf, It feels even more amazingly personal–and the style has cleaned up considerably. Props!

    Hey! Thanks a lot Dylan!

I’m sorta the same actually. Because there are so many comics out there, they have to catch my eye visually if I’m going to give them a chance. They could be really funny, but if the drawing style doesn’t appeal to me I’m outta there. Your compliment means a lot! :)

You draw very nice action, Rene.

I realize, being a comic about a relationship, it will probably feature a bare minimum of tumbling away from exploding oil tankers. All the same, I am totally feeling Landers tying his shoe there. He is just tying the *crap* out of that shoe. To say nothing of the dynamic cheek-smooching action beneath. It’s a nice change from the standard, static, “let’s shake the Illustrator favorites folder and see what comes out” web style.

That said, the superfluous apostrophe in the sixth panel is shameful, and you should feel bad about what you have done.

  8. Rene Engström Says:

And you should feel bad about calling Anders Landers! :) But you are absolutely right. I can’t believe I made that mistake, especially after reading “Bob’s Quick Guide to the Apostrophe, You Idiots!”

Thanks for the compliments and the grammatical note. I will change it if I ever put out a book or I get some spare time. :) I blame it on only speaking Swedish for the past 7 years.

is there a reason why her freckles can disappear and reappear?
